Attractive Concept Cars
A concept car can also be known as show cars which demonstrate new futuristic design, technology, improved safety devices, and radical changes which are still under consideration whether to go for mainstream production. Concepts cars have amazing designs you probably see in sci-fi movies. It turns heads instantly if seen out in the road, but rarely seen because it is usually in a showcase display for innovation and amusement. Of course these concepts cars would not be cheap enough for the “Average Joe” income to purchase, but still extraordinary to lay eyes on. Many car manufacture companies have designed their own concept cars. Here are some neat looking concept cars,

Top 10 Most Extreme Custom Cars in the World from SEMA 2007
Custom Car 1. 1963 Corvette
It's hard to believe that under
all that under all the graphics and performance parts this used to be classic
small block Chevy. The heart of this mighty machine is a 400 cubic inch twin
turbo V8. When fully spooled, it makes...2200 horsepower. (Let that
sink in for a few seconds). The engine bay had to be extended and hood
modified to house the new power-plant. According to Rod Saboury, the owner,
it's the fastest street-legal car in the world. And it still has factory
roll-up headlights and cup-holders.
Custom Car 2. Blastolene B-702
This
picture is worth more than 1000 words. This amazing work of art was designed by
the Blastolene Brothers ( Michael Leeds and Randy Grubb), the same masterminds
behind Jay Leno's "Tank Car." It sits at 19.5 feet long and 94 inches
wide. One look at the size of the hood and the number of tubes on the headers
should give you a slight hint to the 702ci V12 that's hiding underneath.
Everything sits on a custom made frame. Toss in the leather
interior and custom made
trimmings and you have the hottest car on the road.
Custom Car 3. 1950 "Mercules"
All the way from Australia comes a custom 1950 Mercury. This blue beauty has seen over 175
body modifications to get where it is today, one of which chopped off 4 inches
of headroom. Adding to the already outstanding combination is a 6.8 liter
supercharged V10. That potent power-plant drives the 1950 Merc to the front of
the line when it comes to custom hot rods.
Custom Car 4. Pontiac Solstice SD-290
Ah the forgotten days of racing. This concept from Pontiac
looks like a modern version of the 1930's style race cars and it's
built like one too. It comes from the factory with a 4 point racing
harness, no windshield and a built in roll bar. Don't plan on taking
your date out in this either, there's no passenger seat. Holding it to
the road is a set of 19" wheels wrapped in Hoosier Racing Tires. Good thing too because the Turbo 2.0 liter Ecotec lays down close to 300 horsepower.
Custom Car 5. Mercedes SL 600
This new Mercedes
is extreme in a whole new way. It was extremely time consuming to
build. Even though SEMA wasn't the first time the public saw this SL
600, it still got a ton of attention. How could you miss is with over
300,00 Swarovski crystals covering the exterior. Even the interior got
some crystal accents. At least you will never lose your car at night
anymore.
Custom Car 6. 1988 Caprice
An '88 Caprice on 30 inch Asanti wheels, enough said. All of the suspension
components are either chromed of painted to match the House of Kolor
Violet Kandy body coat. The interior is made of white leather and
purple suede. Under the hood is a 400 cubic inch small block fitted
with a Wieland Supercharger and fed by a pair of Holly Dominators.
Custom Car 7. Mercedes R500
Extreme
Audio is the name of this game. Alpine’s Advanced Application R&D
team is unbeatable when it comes to innovation and installation of the
newest audio goodies. This year they chose the R500 to show-off their
latest Signal Processing Technology. The R500 was also an
accomplishment for the engineers who installed everything. The doors
were turned to suicide and attached to the front seats. Even more
amazing is the front seats swivel to make entering and exiting the
vehicle easier. Resting in the truck
is a motorized rack holding 6 of Alpines PDX amplifiers that rotates out for display purposes.

PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS (2010)
Offering increased engine power, lower weight, shorter transmission ratios and a chassis optimised to an even higher standard, the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS sets the foundation for homologating the racing version of the 911 GT3.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS thus provides the key ingredients for extending the unparalleled racing record of Porsche and continues the series of absolute, uncompromised, motor sport-oriented editions of the 911 that are homologated for road use and which can trace their roots back to the classic Carrera RS 2.7 of 1973.
The heart of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the power unit, is based on the proven flat-six cylinder 'boxer' engine already featured in the 911 GT3. Like the latter, the RS power unit now displaces 3.8 instead of 3.6-litres, but in this new model is tuned to deliver even more power and rev even faster and more dynamically.
The engine in the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS delivers 15 hp more than its counterpart in the 911 GT3, providing a maximum output of 450 hp from the naturally-aspirated power unit. This is 35 hp more than the prior model Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and translates into a specific output of more than 118 hp per litre from the six-cylinder, an extremely high figure for a non-turbocharged engine. And unlike many other high-performance drivetrains, the power unit in the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS remains well suited to everyday use.
The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS comes exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox - with a short-throw gear lever - which is also optimised for low weight and high efficiency. To enhance the level of performance throughout the entire range of engine and road speeds, the gears have a shorter transmission ratio than on the 911 GT3, deliberately making concessions in terms of even higher top speed.
The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS features Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) which, for the first time, has been purpose-built and specially set-up to further improve the sporting behaviour of the chassis. With a wider track not only at the rear but also on the front axle, the body of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is widened accordingly. For the new car, the use of additional wheel arch covers increases the span across the nose. Beneath these pronounced front arches sit 9-inch wide wheels with 245/35 ZR 19 sports tyres, and 12-inch wide wheels with 325/30 ZR 19 sports tyres sit at the rear.
Porsche Active Drivetrain Mounts (PADM) are featured as standard and raise the driving dynamics of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS to an even higher level. Depending on driving conditions, the engine mounts change in their stiffness and damping effect to resist the movement of the drivetrain in the bodyshell; this provides dynamic advantages when driving quickly on a challenging course such as a race track or twisting road.
The qualities of the car on a race track further benefit from the fact the aerodynamics of the RS develop even more downforce than on the GT3. Racing qualities are also why Porsche is introducing another new option in 2010, a lithium-ion battery delivered with the car. Replacing the conventional lead battery, this innovation reduces weight by more than 10 kg (22 lb).
The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS shows its close connection to motor sport also through the dynamic looks of the car and this is borne out in particular by the new, extra-large carbon-fibre rear wing with its specifically designed aluminium wing supports. Aside from the bold livery, other distinctive sporting motifs include the low ride height, the characteristic dual tailpipes of the extra-light titanium sports exhaust and special front and rear parts exclusive to this model.
The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS will go on sale in the UK and Ireland in February 2010 priced from £100,760. Standard equipment includes a Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (VTS), a sophisticated vehicle security package approved to Thatcham Category 5 standard. Further technical and specification details will be confirmed nearer the on-sale date.
Customers will also be able to explore the dynamic attributes of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and further develop their own skills behind the wheel, courtesy of a Driving Experience Programme at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone.

PORSCHE 911 GT3 R (2010)
For the 2010 motor sport season, Porsche has prepared a further development of the 911 GT3 for racing; the Porsche 911 GT3 R. Created for racing in series based on the international FIA GT3 regulations, and succeeding the 911 GT3 Cup S, the main focus with this new car was to deliver even better driveability and even easier handling.
The Porsche 911 GT3 R is powered by a six-cylinder 'boxer' engine of four-litres capacity, which delivers a maximum output of 480 bhp (353 kW) transmitted to the rear axle by a sequential six-speed 'dog-type' gearbox.
The starting point in developing the Porsche 911 GT3 R, which weighs just 1,200 kg (2,646 lb), was the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, that was first presented at the Frankfurt Show in September and which will compete in the Porsche Supercup supporting selected Formula One races in 2010. However, thanks to its increase in engine size by 200 cc, the Porsche GT3 R offers 30 bhp more than the Cup model. Both cars are based on the 911 GT3 RS road car, which goes on sale in February next year.
An anti-lock braking system, traction control and an electronic throttle with 'blip' function on gearbox down-changes make it much easier for drivers to get used to this new GT3 race car than its predecessor, with the consequence that the new model is also more appropriate for the ambitious amateur racing driver rather than purely experienced professionals.
Additional flared wheel arches front and rear bear clear testimony to the wider track of the Porsche GT3 R than on the former model. And like all second generation versions of the 911, the new 911 GT3 R also comes with striking LED rear light clusters.
The Porsche 911 GT3 R is making its world debut on 14 January 2010 at the Autosport International Show at the NEC in Birmingham. The car is built by the Porsche Motorsport Department at the Weissach Development Centre and will be delivered to customer teams around the world as of spring 2010. The base price of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is 279,000 Euros plus local sales tax/VAT.

NISSAN Patrol (2011)

NISSAN Patrol (2011)
Reliable, unbreakable, affordable. The Nissan Patrol is a name synonymous with ruggedness, a legendary off-roader capable of going anywhere, anytime. Meticulously honed for over five decades, the Patrol is Nissan's flagship large SUV model and enjoys a rich heritage particularly in the Middle East that dates back to the 1950's. This off-road trendsetter was one of the first dedicated four-wheel-drive vehicles in the climatically demanding Middle East region, and boasts the notable distinction of also being the first vehicle to successfully cross the grueling Simpson Desert in Australia back in 1962.Under the banner of "The Hero Comes Home" the Nissan Patrol is back as an all-new seventh generation model, building on its impressive history, but at the same time, incorporating a new platform, a radical new design direction, significantly enhanced interior comfort and luxury, powerful new V8 engines, a 7-speed automatic transmission and a new 4WD system.
"We paid special attention to the needs of current Nissan Patrol owners, and their passengers, and so focused on creating first-class levels of comfort for the whole family. Heightened luxury, a roomier cabin and a quieter ride combine to achieve this goal, while maintaining Nissan Patrol's superior off-road heritage" stresses Hiroyuki Fushiki, project head and Segment Chief Product Specialist.
Tested to the limit
Wanting to build the best possible Nissan Patrol, engineers first tuned and tested 200 prototypes for dynamic evaluation at the company's Motegi, Oppama and Tochigi proving grounds before sending them to the Middle East where they were exposed to every imaginable challenge; desert, rocky surfaces, highways and inner-city traffic. "By the time we came around to adding the new body and interior, we had virtually completed our reliability and durability testing and perfected all of the new technologies," says chief vehicle engineer, Takashi Fukui.
New exterior more sophisticated but still rugged
After extensive market research, especially in the Middle East, the design team concluded that for the Nissan Patrol to beat its main competitors, it needed not only a brand new design direction but class-leading engine performance, greater luxury and comfort and a smart mix of new technologies that enhanced the total driving experience. Product design director, Taiji Toyota, tells us that the all-new exterior design is like a breath of fresh air. "Not as edgy and hardcore as its predecessor, the softer new surfaces are beautiful and add a sense of modernity to the design equation, while still maintaining a ruggedness and commanding road presence" he said.
According to the design director, one design element that expresses 'Patrol' and had to feature strongly was the angled-strut motif front grille. It was meticulously proportioned to deliver a sense of continuity with past models but give a touch of newness while enhancing the car's status level.
Focus on roomier, more luxurious cabin
Featuring generous amounts of leather, polished aluminium and wood grain paneling, the Nissan Patrol's interior too has been significantly upgraded. Given that most customers only go off-road no more than 15% of the time, designers wanted to create a better, higher quality interior for the whole family.
In keeping with the Nissan Patrol's mission to deliver more comfort and more room, the new Patrol delivers seat dimensions that outclass all competition. Boasting wider, higher and deeper front seats, the Nissan Patrol offers over 100mm more legroom for second row passengers, and a roomier third row of seats as well. Employing double the lateral rigidity over the outgoing model, the new Nissan Patrol sits on a revised platform that now offers a more robust construction with a low vibration body.
All-new V8 engine leads array of segment-beating hardware
The new Nissan Patrol is now the most powerful vehicle in its class. And the key technology achieving this jump in performance over the predecessor's 4.8 litre power plant is the newly developed 'VK56VD' 5.6-litre V8 engine with VVEL (variable valve event and lift) and DIG (direct injection gasoline) technologies that generate 400hp and 550Nm of torque on the top specification version of this new engine.
Every component has been redesigned for maximum performance and smooth response, while a new 7-speed automatic transmission with a wider range of gear ratios than its predecessor, gives the off-roader the ability to deliver power faster.
Comprehensively upgraded 4WD system sets new standard
In a world-first for Nissan, the new Patrol employs a Hydraulic Body Motion Control System (HBMC), which keeps the car flatter with less body roll during lane-changing and cornering, while delivering a comfortable ride in city driving and superb stability on rugged and sandy tracks. Another crucial part of handling equation comes from the new suspension system, which now employs 4-wheel independent suspension, upgraded from the previous rigid axle setup. Nissan has completely redesigned the vehicle's suspension from the bushes to the links. The combination of HBMC and the new suspension system with its longer suspension stroke delivers significantly improved handling and stability on both on- and off-road terrain.
The Nissan Patrol also employs a newly developed ALL MODE 4x4 system incorporating a variable 4x4 mode package. It allows the driver to quickly switch between four drive modes: sand, on-road, snow and rock, with the flick of a switch. In sand mode, owners are able to drive safely, quickly and skillfully in sand and dirt, just like professional rally drivers.
In addition, the Nissan Patrol also offers a new Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control which can also be selected easily with the touch of a button. With Hill Start Assist, if a driver stops on a slope and steps off the brake pedal, the system keeps the vehicle stationary - with no roll back. Hill Descent Control uses the brakes to maintain a constant downhill speed of 7km/h in 4H mode and 4km/h in 4L mode.
The new model employs a revised Tyre Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) with tyre inflation indicator which beeps the horn softly to inform drivers that a suitable tyre pressure has been reached.
A revised, more effective brake system also provides the best braking performance in its class thanks to its new hydraulic brake booster and a 4-piston opposed front caliper setup with larger 358mm front discs.
More world-firsts
Nissan designers paid special attention to the second row seat passengers by not only significantly expanding legroom, but by also fitting a new multi-screen DVD entertainment system, a first form Nissan. It boasts two rear-facing TVs; one 7-inch monitor embedded into each front seat headrest.
Fitted with six airbags for top grade, the Nissan Patrol also comes with a totally revised climate control system boasting another world-first - the curtain vent. Curtain vent has several small but highly effective vents mounted in the ceiling above each side window to blow a strong current of cool air down forming a curtain of air that acts as a barrier to heat penetrating the cabin.
Yet another impressive Nissan Patrol feature is the cool box mounted in the centre console between the front seats. Incorporating a unique double hinge design, the lid of the cool box can be opened easily from either the front or second row of seats to access the six 600ml drink bottles inside.
And lastly...
With its fresh new styling, superior packaging, powerful but economical V8 engine, clever off-road technologies and higher levels of luxury and comfort, the all-new Nissan Patrol is now a true segment leader.

MAZDA BT-50 (2012)
At the 2010 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, Mazda is unveiling the all-new Mazda BT-50 that signifies a new direction in the utility segment. It was developed as an "Active lifestyle vehicle," and is intended to further extend the appeal of a utility from traditional business users to a wide range of customers, including families and pleasure-seekers.
The current BT-50 is Mazda's only offering in the utility segment. It is an established one-tonne utility that has won numerous awards and gained a strong following all over the world. In developing the new model, Mazda intended to expand its appeal to customers who lead active lifestyles and have needs that cannot be met by conventional utilities. It offers all the functionality required for business use combined with passenger car-like comfort for family use; and for active customers in Australia and Europe, it is the perfect answer for all kinds of outdoor leisure activities. In this way, the new BT-50 has been developed to fulfill the varied requirements of customers in every market. To ensure all these aims were met, the all-new Mazda BT-50 was developed under the theme "Active lifestyle vehicle." The result is a utility that offers unique value; it has refined and expressive styling; a comfortable, high quality interior; a smooth ride with the feel of a passenger car; sporty and responsive driving dynamics that reflect Mazda's DNA; and outstanding environmental and safety performance.
Design: "Sophisticated Beast"
We wanted to design a truck that car lovers would be deeply pleased with and proud to own. We targeted a unique and expressive design that people would find desirable, and we also wanted it to be seen as strong and dependable. This led us to define the design concept as a "Sophisticated Beast."
As Ryo Yanagisawa, chief designer of the all-new BT-50, explains: "Mazda's brand message is Zoom-Zoom, which refers to the emotion of motion first experienced as a child. With the all-new Mazda BT-50, we aimed to express this emotion through the design, and we drew a lot of inspiration from various "movements" in the world around us. For example, we had a photograph of a lion. He looked like a magnificent predator with his muscles all bunching up as though he was about to pounce on his prey. His sinews were stretched taut ready to strike, and his mane framed a sharp, masculine countenance that seemed to say, 'I am the proud king of the beasts!' In profile, that lion appeared to be both intelligent and powerful. I really wanted the design of the truck to project that kind of image. This kind of inspiration was the basis of the emotional design that we worked so hard to achieve with the all-new BT-50."
Exterior - Lively and Imposing Styling
Without detracting from the strength or the level of functionality, we wanted to give the exterior of the all-new Mazda BT-50 an athletic design, overflowing with movement, that would make people immediately want to get in and drive. The crisp lines will have owners looking on with pride.
The finished car has a beauty and individuality that can be recognized at a glance from any angle, even up to 100 meters away.
= Dynamic wedge-shaped proportions evoke an image of a large carnivore about to pounce on its unsuspecting prey. This is unlike any other utility.
= Casting off the conventional boxy image of a utility, sporty and dynamic lines are in tune with the rest of Mazda's passenger vehicle lineup.
= Further evolving Mazda's traditional prominent fenders, muscular lines flow from the fenders along the body sides.
A Front Fascia with a Bold, Overwhelming Presence and an Individual Rear End
= Mazda's family face, the five-point grille, is further evolved for a more imposing expression with the headlights and a chrome crossbar forming a large pentagon.
= The headlights have a bold boomerang shape, elaborate details and a functional beauty.
= A first in the segment — the taillights are stretched horizontally, reaching around the corners and across the tailgate, for a sporty and refined rear view that is similar to a premium SUV.
Interior - A Sporty and Personal Space
We wanted to give the interior of the all-new Mazda BT-50 a more sporty and personal feel to complement the dynamic exterior image, and create a comfortable space to rival Mazda's current passenger car standard. The cockpit is designed to wrap around the driver and provide an environment that supports enthusiastic driving. It raises anticipation for a sporty and responsive driving experience that goes beyond any conventional utility.
= The flowing design smoothly connects the center of the instrument panel to the raised center console, which has never before been seen in a pickup truck.
= The dashboard has an asymmetric design to create optimal space on each side; it reassuringly wraps around the driver and provides an open space for the passenger.
= Four bold metallic panel strips on the door trim and sides of the center console express dynamism and seem to be supporting the interior space.
= A metallic outline highlights the two cylindrical meters and connects them via a center strip to improve readability and enhance the sporty, driver-oriented impression of the instrument panel.
= The audio control panel and the climate control switch panel, which has independent driver- and passenger-side temperature controls, form a beautifully designed human interface.
With modern and refined styling both inside and out, the all-new Mazda Mazda BT-50 will raise the bar in the utility segment and for the first time provide a realistic alternative to the family wagon and 4x4 SUV.
